Arthur Dent

Arthur Dent is a human being, which already places him at a considerable disadvantage in most galactic situations. Known for his attachment to tea and dressing gown-based diplomacy, Arthur has demonstrated a remarkable ability to survive events that are both improbable and deeply unnecessary. His journey began with the destruction of his home planet, which he took rather personally. Arthur’s primary skill appears to be confusion, though he wields it with such consistency that it has, on occasion, been mistaken for resilience. He is often found asking questions to which the universe responds with either silence or Vogons. Despite lacking any obvious qualifications, Arthur has travelled widely and improbably, making him one of the galaxy’s leading experts in not understanding what is going on.
